2nd Otley 4 - 0 Findlay A
2nd Otley football team started the new season strongly with an excellent team performance that culminated in a 4 - 0 win over local rivals Findlay A.
Nick opened the scoring in the first half, drilling the ball into the net after seeing his initial shot parried by the Findlay keeper. In the second half, Robbie scored after a good run and shot from Finn and then Finn sealed the victory with 2 fine individual efforts himself.
Worries that the squad may have been weakened following the exodus of most of the squad due to their age were eased as it became apparent that the youth development program, spearheaded by head coach (and Akela) Trevor, had produced a healthy number of very promising players.
The next match will be a testing away fixture at Menston on Saturday 24th September.
