Subscriptions
Please find attached a letter from our treasurer about an increase in subs. The increase to £10 is effective from 1st November 2011. It would be greatly appreciated if you could all change your standing order or other payment arrangements as soon as possible as this will help with the admin task of checking that all increases have been applied.
If anyone has any queries or questions with regards the subscriptions increases, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Group Camp
A reminder that the Cubs will be taking part in the Group Camp over the weekend of Friday 9th to Sunday 11th December at Bramhope Scout Campsite. Preparations are already well underway and a great theme planned for the weekend. If anyone would like to go, please bring the attached permission form to Cubs as soon as possible.
Working partyYou may have noticed that the extension project now has a roof with the slates due to be fitted in the next couple of weeks. Work has now commenced on the electrical and plumbing work with the plasterers also on site so before long, we'll hopefully have rooms that can be used during our weekly meetings.
We're planning a working party on Saturday 19th November, commencing at 1:30pm. There's going to be several jobs to be done, mainly painting related. We'll be pulling together a list of jobs nearer the time but in the meantime we'd be really grateful if you could pop the date in your diaries and come along and help us in the afternoon, even if it's just an hour or two.
Pre-launch event
We're planning a pre-launch for the new Chevin Community Centre on Wednesday 30th November, starting at 6:30pm. All Cubs and their parents and families will be invited to join us for the evening. More details to follow nearer the time.
Big Camp
A date for next year - our Scout County of West Yorkshire is planning a camp for the whole county - and hopefully 4,000 Scouting people will descend on Harrogate Showground for a 3 day camping event over the May Bank Holiday weekend with Cubs joining the camp on Saturday 5th to Monday 7th May 2012. More details to follow.
