Meeting Dates
There will be no meeting next week due to the half term holidays. Our next Cub meeting will take place on Thursday 26th January (I think this should be February!, Ed) at the usual time of 6:30.
Cub Football
Whilst there is no Cub football match today, we have a fixture arranged for Saturday 21st February at Otley Town. We will be meeting at 8:45am for a 9am kick off. It seemed at Cubs on Thursday night that the majority of Cubs were around and could play in the game. Could you confirm to me if your child can play in this game please?
Cub Camp
I have received a number of responses for attending the Cub Camp weekend. If anyone else would like to attend, please let me know and if you could also bring the completed permission form and payment after half term I would be grateful. If anyone has any questions about the Cub Camp, please feel free to contact me.
Cub Swimming Tournament
I have received details of the annual Cub swimming tournament that is held at Skipton swimming pool. We are currently the reigning champions having won the tournament last year. This year's tournament will be taking place on Saturday 14th March (the Saturday we are on Cub Camp). This event requires a team of 9 Cubs to take part in the tournament and we will be selecting a team after we hold a practice swimming night at Chippendale Pool (on Thursday 5th March). Any Cubs that are selected and attending Cub Camp will be taken to the event from the Camp. We will invite parents to the event should they wish to join us. Any Cubs not selected are still able to go along and support the Cub Pack in their bid to retain the trophy.
If for any reason your child does not want to attend Cub Camp, they will still be able to attend the Swimming Tournament if selected. I will provide more details of the event after the meeting on 5th March.
