Photo consent
We love celebrating Scouting with photographs. We only publish images of young people where photo consent has been given, and we never publish a child's full name alongside their image.
How we manage consent
Photo consent is recorded for each young person in Online Scout Manager (OSM), the membership system we use to run the group. Parents and carers set their preference there and can update it at any time, and we follow it when deciding which photos to publish. When a leader adds a photo to this website they confirm that the OSM-recorded consent is in place, and that confirmation is logged for our records.
Uploaded images also have their EXIF metadata (including any embedded GPS coordinates from the device that took the photo) stripped automatically before publication.
Changed your mind? We'll happily remove a photo
If there's ever a photo you'd rather wasn't online — for any reason at all — just let us know and we'll take it down promptly, no questions asked. You can update your consent in OSM, have a word with your section leader, or send us a message through the contact form.
