Volunteer with us
Adult volunteers make Scouts happen. Whether you'd rather be on a campsite or behind the scenes — there's a role that suits the time you can give.
Young Leaders
Volunteering isn't just for adults. Young people aged 14 to 18 can take part as Young Leaders, helping to run our Beaver, Cub and Scout sections — leading games and activities, taking on real responsibility, and building skills and awards (including the Duke of Edinburgh's Award) along the way. We have Young Leaders supporting sections right across the group.
If you're an Explorer-age young person keen to get involved — or a parent finding out more — we'd love to hear from you.

- All adult volunteers join through Scouts UK and complete an enhanced DBS check — we'll guide you through it.
- Training is free and split into short modules — you start helping straight away while you complete it.
- You don't need to commit forever. Tell us how much time you can give, and we'll find a role that fits.
